Dye ink characteristics

Because dye ink is a fully soluble ink at the molecular level and a complete composite solution, there is very little chance that it will clog the nozzle. After printing, the dye ink is easily absorbed by the textile, has a vivid color, and is inexpensive. The drawback is that it is not waterproof, and because the dye molecules break down fast under UV radiation, the color will start to deteriorate after a month of usage outside. Bright colors, distinct layers, and a lower cost than pigment ink make dye ink preferable for printing engineering drawings, photos, and other materials like color inkjet business cards.
